MAC super mini haul-Iris Epfel Collection

I could scream with excitement right now, after a ridiculously long day at the dentist office, I arrived home to see that my very FIRST MAC order had arrived. You guys have no idea how pumped up I am right now. For me MAC cosmetics are a once in a while type luxury purchase. Until today the only thing that I owned from MAC was their studio fix foundation in color NC45, and my sister bought me that three years ago. Gross, I know but I can’t move myself to throw it in the trash. It was pretty expensive and to date I’ve probably only used it maybe ten times. But, my sister purchased it to cheer me up after I had an especially bad day health wise. That’s what big sisters are for right!! 

Anyway, I have to tell you guys what I bought. Last week I received an email about a new collection inspired by or created by Iris Epfel. Granted I had no idea who this woman was but when I saw the bright colors of the eye shadows and lipsticks, I just couldn't resist. I am a true color fanatic and I think that a lot of drugstore brands don’t carry extremely bright colors or perhaps I’m just buying the wrong drugstore items. Nonetheless, when I saw that MAC was offering free shipping, I thought to myself, this is the perfect time for you to add a little MAC to your makeup collection. 

 So, there I found myself staring at the MAC website for what seemed like hours trying to decide between purchasing a lipstick or a shockingly bright eye shadow. At one point the irresponsible, money spending monster inside of me said buy everything. But after I snapped back into reality and put that evil money spending monster in a far away locked closet in my mind, I decided to purchase the Morange lipstick. I was both intrigued and terrified by its bright orange color, but I couldn't resist buying it. All day at the Dentist I kept thinking oh I pray that my MAC order is waiting for me at home and thankfully it was. So instead of waiting for weeks to review this baby, I had to jump right on it.

As mentioned above Morange is a truly bright orange color, its even described as loudmouth orange on the MAC website. After unwrapping this beauty and seeing the color up close my head started to spin. I knew the color was brightly pigmented but, the picture on the site really did this baby no justice. Now being a color virgin as far as lipsticks go I was skeptical about wearing this tiny shock of color. But after applying it and showing my very opinionated family, they all agreed that while it is bright, its very different and pretty. I would suggest this lip color to anyone that has a bold personality. This is certainly not a color for those scared of a little attention.
