sephora field trip

I visited my local mall today for the first time in over six months. It’s really difficult to get around the mall now that I’m experiencing difficulty walking, but I wanted to get out of the house today so I accompanied my sister to the mall to pick up her glasses. As we were walking through Jcpenny I stumbled upon Sephora! The last time I visited this mall I’m certain this Sephora was not there , so you could imagine my surprise and excitement. Its really cool to have a Sephora so close to me now!

My sister was so kind to walk me over to the store so that I could have a look around. This was my first time in this store so I just wanted to take everything in. It was the best experience ever. Everywhere I looked the aisles were filled with makeup and samples galore. I stopped at the entrance to gaze at the two Naked palettes that were displayed. I really wish I had my phone with me so that I could have taken photographs, the colors in both the Naked one and Two palettes were so pigmented and lovely. I thought that people were possibly over hyping this product but I give in, I really want to own this. That is until I noticed this baby cost $50! I just can’t see spending that kind of money on one palette. Call me cheap but with my medical bills I just can’t spend money as freely as I would like.

It would be an extremely long blog post if I gave you a play by play of my time in the store due to the fact that I spent what seemed like an hour just staring at different products. What I have decided to do instead is show you a few items on my wish list.

First up this Cargo palette, I’m unsure of the name but if you know please inform me in the comments below:

Cargo Cosmetics - Color Palette 2012-02-20 17-17-31

I swatched all four of these colors on my hand and fell in LOVE! I have never in my life seen a blue so vibrant. It popped on my skin and begged me to bring it home, but I just couldn’t. But, trust me this baby will be mine one day! $28

nars super orgasm

Nars blush in Super Orgasm. What an interesting name right? I often wonder how do these companies determine the final name of these products.. Anyway, I have heard about the original Orgasm blush for so many years now and I have refused to jump on the bandwagon. But while I was perusing the Sephora today I decided to go ahead and swatch this color. And boy am I glad I did, this color is so pretty and leaves such a nice peachy gold shimmery tint to your skin. Its $27 on Amazon so I’m going to save up for this one.

My sister stumbled upon this Hello Kitty palette and rushed over to show me. I fell in love immediately and was almost moved to purchase it until she told me it was $38 and that pretty much killed the buzz. I think for the size of this palette $38 is a bit extreme, so if this is ever on sale, I will certainly purchase it, but not before then.

The last item on my wish list is this Juicy Couture perfume:

I have read many things about this perfume and up until today I have to admit that again I was not convinced. But, I can proudly shout from the top of the mountains that I LOVE JUICY COUTURE. This perfume made me feel so happy! I am naturally a bubbly person and I love fragrances that are fun and sweet. I will be purchasing this next week and I can’t wait to wear this baby everywhere.

The next time I feel brave enough to venture into the mall I will take my camera so that you can see my local store. Everyone was extremely nice and the store was very clean and fully stocked. If you are in the Orlando area stop by the Florida Mall and visit the huge Sephora there. It goes on for what seems like forever!!
