Don’t you hate it when you get all dressed up, hop in the car only to notice that your brand new sweater now looks like a pet blanket. Nope. Just me? Well I know everyone has had to unwillingly throw away a sweater or blanket due to the massive amounts of peels and loads of lint. But have no fear the Lilly Brush is here to save the day. What is the Lilly Brush?
- Portable Pill, Lint, and Pet Hair Remover
- Gently removes pills from all natural fiber sweaters
- Removes lint & pet hair from clothing and upholstery
- Sleek and portable design perfect for purse, car or work
Basically it’s a CPR wand for your clothing. I have been using the Lilly Brush for a bit now and I finally feel like I can share a real and honest review with you guys. I tried the Lilly Brush on three different fabrics; 100% cotton, cotton blends, and polyester. They each rendered different results. Check it out below.
First up is this Polyester blend skirt:
This baby is covered in lint and dog hair. Well maybe not covered but it is enough on here to bother me. I wanted to see if the Lilly Brush could resurrect this skirt into something I would enjoy wearing.
As you can see from the photographs above the Lilly Brush did pick up Shiloh's pesky hairs but after using the brush in every direction imaginable I couldn’t remove all of the lint from the skirt. Defeated…nope I just moved on to the next lint covered victim.
This American Eagle cardigan has seen better days. Even though I just purchased it last year, I have worn it non stop because I just love it! I was hoping the Lilly Brush would be able to remove the peels from the over worn cardigan but this job may be a lost cause. After brushing up and down with the Lilly Brush I still couldn’t remove all of the peels on this sweater. Is this a fault of the Lilly Brush? Not in my opinion. I think the fabric may be the major issue here.
So was this item a huge dud? Not really, I noticed that if my skirt or shirt had surface lint, the Lilly Brush quickly removed it. Plus my American Eagle sweater has deep peels in it and even tape didn’t work to remove them all. So in the end this isn’t really a product I would throw out to the garbage. It is in effect a handy CPR wand for your clothing that you can tuck away into your purse or jacket or anything you choose to lug around for that matter. I will still end up purchasing a backup because as a parent to a 8 year old Maltese puppy that mistakes my clothing for a plush comfy bed, I’ll always need a CPR wand before leaving the house.
