February Julep Maven Box Review

I recently received my Julep Maven Box and I was impressed by the packaging. This month’s box was themed after the Awards season. I received the American Beauty maven box which included two nail polishes, cuticle oil, and a chocolate bar in the shape of an Oscar. As you can see from the picture above, the items were packaged perfectly and nothing arrived broken. I was however disappointed that my chocolate bar arrived melted. But after placing it in the freezer it was as good as new and as tasty as ever!! Nice touch Julep! 

This month I received Oscar, which is a gold glitter polish and Glenn which is a nice orange based red color. To be honest after swatching the nail polishes I really dislike Oscar. I have never been a huge fan of glitter nail polishes because they are so difficult to remove. This one was no exception, and it also applied kind of chunky which also annoyed me. Glenn on the other hand was an amazing color. It applied smoothly and looked so perfect against my skin tone. 

Being a part of the Julep Maven program has been an exciting thing for me. I love nail polish and I look forward to getting my box in the mail each month. To date I own over 100 nail polishes and I hope to continue collecting them until I own every color ever made. Yes, it’s a sick addiction but it’s always nice to pamper yourself every now and then.
