Giveaway- Hate the mess when applying makeup

Well so do I and up until two weeks ago I thought that I’d always have to use the back of my hand or my foundation lid to apply foundation. But that can be terribly annoying. We’ve all been there, you are all dressed up and ready to go when you realize you haven’t applied your makeup. You dab a little foundation to the back of your hand and begin applying it to your face when OH NO your foundation hand rubs across your shirt and now its ruined!

I’ve been there a thousand times but Molly over at Mineral Mate has created the perfect product that will change the way we do makeup! Allow me to introduce you to the Mineral Mate!

2012-05-18

A new alternative to applying makeup. Don’t let the name fool you this baby is also great for liquid foundations, blush, powders, eye shadow, and even lipstick.

There are seven compartments. The three larger compartments can be used to my powder or liquid foundation. Like I did here with my Mac and Revlon Foundation. The Mac foundation is a little to light and the Revlon is a tad too dark but with the Mineral Mate I was able to mix them together for a perfect application.

As you can see in the picture above I also transferred my Sunforgettable mineral powder into the Mineral Mate for easier access later on. So what else can you do with the mineral mate? I tried my hand at mixing my different lip glosses from Allechant Mineral Cosmetics to create my own custom colors.

As you can see I’ve been having a lot of fun with this product. It completely cuts down on harmful bacteria and it’s easy to hold and easy to clean up. When you’re done just wipe it down with  a wet cloth or slip it into your dish washer!

Pros:

Nice weight.

Sturdy

Washable

Safe

Can use with a variety of products

Mineral Mate is a winner in my book and for $19.95 I would also purchase another one in the future. If you would like to get your hands on a Mineral Mate click here and enter code: 2468MineralMate for 25% off your purchase!

  1. I accidentally dropped a container of mineral eyeshadow in the sink :-(. It was a  relatively new jar so I was not pleased at all. Being in a rush and slippery fingers are a bad combo...

  6. Worst makeup problem - when traveling my foundation exploded all over my clothes in my suitcase. It was impossible to wash out my clothes in the sink of the hotel. From then on I always put my makeup in a ziplock bag and then in my make up case.

  7. Thanks for the chance to win. Mine is spilling the entire contents of liquid concealer in the girl's bathroom right before picture day at school. I can relate to this post!

My worst makeup nightmare occurred in the late 80's when people in my area were having Glamour Shots (which are gaudy photos taken of folks with teased hair and tons of makeup). They really applied
my makeup with a heavy hand (especially the bright pink blush) and I ended up looking like a cheesy lady of the night!

  15. My worst makeup nightmare was letting my sister in law do my makeup for my junior homecoming dance,
back when i was in High School. She applied everything pretty well - and then it came time for eyeshadow. By this
time, My friends were outside waiting for me, so we could go to dinner. She applied the eyeshadow - and I rushed out the
door. It wasn't until I was getting out of the car and looked at my reflection in the car window did I see
what a terrible job she did. I looked like a clown - and even worse, all my homecoming pictures are now marred
    with the clown look!
